I actually thought this was funny when I first saw it. But then I started thinking of the plight of homeless people, and how many of them ended up there through misfortunes beyond their control, that they could not overcome. And how many are mentally ill, and after many state mental institutions closed in the 70's and 80's, were left alone to try to make a life for themselves. So, this picture is not funny, it's actually tragic.
